ENG : Kimonas (Κίμωνας, in greek language), is a solo rap artist from Kavala, Greece. Starting as an avid hip hop music listener, he evolved to a mentioned independent rapper, specially for the local (Kavala) music scene with main featuring his really conscious lyrics and his constant pressure for social and personal awakening. Even if he is considered as a solo artist he has a very close collaboration with another rap artist called Eroas (means Hero). Kimonas use to states that friendship comes first and music follows, explaining through this way his collaboration with “MC Hero” but and all the other music moves he have done. His discography is the definition of evolution due to the enrichment of his lyrics, his music production, and the issues he deals with from album to album.

His personal discography goes back to 2006, when he released his first independent LP called “One step, two thoughts”. He came back two years later with a new full LP under the title “Bloody Souls” and just a year later he released the most critically acclaimed LP till now, with the title “Changing faces”.

FR : Kimonas (Κίμωνας en grec) est un artiste rap solo de Kavala, en Grèce. à la base grand fan et connaisseur de la culture hip hop, il est aujourd’hui un rappeur indé reconnu sur la scène musicale grecque. Adepte d’un rap conscient et engagé, il met en avant les problématiques économiques et sociale, de son pays notamment. Malgré son étiquette de rappeur « solo » il collabore souvent avec Eroas (le Héros) un autre Mc grec.

En 2006, il sort son premier opus en indépendant, appelé « One step, two thoughts ». Deux ans plus tard il produit un album complet sous le titre « Bloody Souls” puis en 2009, il créé l’évènement avec « Changing Faces », son dernier album en date.
